What it takes to study abroad
Applying to a university in another country comes down to five documents and one deadline: your transcripts, an English test score (or a waiver), a statement of purpose, your passport, and proof you can pay the first year. Miss the intake deadline and you wait six months, so the calendar matters as much as the grades.
Admission Bravo is free for students and takes applications to universities in India, Ireland and Nepal. Each destination page gives that country's tuition and living costs, work rights, visa steps, scholarships and intake months, so you can compare two or three before you commit.
Your academic record
A bachelor's needs 12 years of schooling; a master's needs a recognised bachelor's. Most universities want around 50-60% (a 2.2 or above), and ranked universities ask for more. Below that, foundation and diploma routes exist.
Proof of English
IELTS 6.0-6.5 overall covers most bachelor's programmes, and 6.5 most master's, with PTE and TOEFL accepted in place of it. Many universities waive the test if your schooling was in English.
Money you can show
A tuition deposit after you accept an offer, plus roughly one year of living costs held in a bank account. Each country sets its own figure and how long the money must sit there; both are on the destination page.
Enough lead time
Start 6-9 months before your intake. An offer usually takes 2-6 weeks, a student visa another 2-8 weeks, and English tests and bank statements need to be ready before either.
Requirements vary by university and course. The exact list for yours is on its course page, and in your application checklist once you apply.
